Chile Today Chile de Arbol pods
The Chile de Arbol pepper is sometimes know under the following names; bird's beak chile, and rat's tail chile.
The arbol pepper is a constituent of the popular Cholula brand of hot sauces.
Ingredients: Whole dried Chili De Arbol Pepper Pods.
To reconstitute: Place Red Amazon peppers in hot water or stock for 20 minutes. Remove softened chiles, cut away stems and seeds.
This hot chile is used as substitute for Cayenne. It's name means treelike and it is a delicious addition to soups, stews, and sauces. 0.75 oz. Hot - 25,000 Scoville Units.
